Our client, an early-stage HR Tech startup led by a seasoned founder with over a decade of experience in the industry, is revolutionizing talent acquisition with an AI-powered platform for sourcing, screening, and matching candidates. The platform leverages advanced AI to streamline hiring processes, improve candidate fit, and empower recruiters with actionable insights.


As they prepared to launch their AI sourcing and matching product, they needed a reliable candidate database to train their AI models and enable intelligent screening and matching between job requirements and candidate profiles.

To power their AI-driven sourcing and matching platform, the client needed a comprehensive candidate database. While they had evaluated over five data providers, none met their expectations due to issues with coverage, pricing, and delivery methods.

As an early-stage startup, the client also needed a solution that balanced quality and cost efficiency, while ensuring seamless integration into their existing tech stack.


Solution


We tapped into our extensive network of 100+ data partners to identify a provider that could meet the client’s specific requirements. After a thorough evaluation, we recommended a data partner with robust US and global candidate databases.

To ensure alignment with the client’s needs, we provided a 10k candidate data sample and conducted a detailed analysis of the data’s coverage. The analysis included fill rates for critical data fields such as name, location, education, employment history, social media URLs, skills, and licenses.


Given the client’s focus on the US market and the need to stay cost-effective, we advised them to start with a US candidate database of 200M profiles rather than the global database of 800M profiles. We also worked closely with the data partner to negotiate a startup discount, making the solution more affordable and easier to commit to. Additionally, we ensured the delivery method was compatible with the client’s tech stack, streamlining implementation and keeping costs in check.
